Super Luxe Baby Cashmere Crewneck Sweater
(227 REVIEWS)
Baby soft baby cashmere. Snuggle into even softer cashmere that's lightweight and breathable. Baby cashmere is an ultra-fine fiber taken from the first combing of a baby goat—cute right? This causes no harm and they are combed between 3-12 months—only during the warmer spring months when they no longer need their protective underfleece. Each each coat can only supply fiber for one sweater per year, so be sure to cherish this special piece.

Softest sweater I own
This is definitely an upgrade from the Mongolian cashmere crew. Both are very soft and comfortable but the luxe version is the softest sweater I own now. Definitely worth the price. Sweater on the left is the Mongolian cashmere crew and the one on the right is the luxe cashmere crew for comparison

1. Why is cashmere typically so expensive?
1. Why is cashmere typically so expensive?
Cashmere is a premium fiber, first and foremost, because it's super soft and super warm (up to 3x more insulating than sheep's wool). But it's also quite rare; it can only be harvested once per year and each cashmere sweater requires a lot of fiber. So, supply is low and demand is high, making for a pretty cozy, though expensive, sweater. Until now.
